LETTER FROM OUR CHAIR
"Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
Let the Healing Begin!
Dear Friends In Christ,
The Tallahassee Healing Prayer Ministry (THPM) is in the midst of a growth spurt! The Tallahassee Christian community is reaching out to us to help those who have experienced hurt, brokenness or trauma in their lives to return to a place of joy and peace. That is what we are all about. We devote ourselves to prayer and educational opportunities through classes that help others heal emotionally, spiritually and physically from the challenges life sends their way.
Our Walk-In Healing Prayer Nights offered on the first and third Thursdays of every month are open to everyone. If you or a loved one are suffering from physical or emotional pain, please come join us in this safe, confidential environment. For more information, click on our Home Page.
In addition to healing prayer, THPM offers classes to teach more about God’s love for us and desire to transform us into his disciples — able to share his love with others. We learn to quiet ourselves and connect with God at a deeper, more personal level. And, as we learn to do that, healing happens.
Life is not always easy; sometimes it hurts. And whether we realize it or not we all need Jesus’s healing touch. THPM intercessors are there to listen love and pray for the healing power of the Spirit to reveal himself to you and restore a sense of joy and delight in your life.
As THPM grows, we need a lot of help. We are looking for Christians with all kinds of spiritual gifts — administrative, financial, communications, marketing, technical, fundraising, facilitators and, of course, prayer warriors. And the list doesn’t end there. In essence we need you if you have a heart for this ministry. Please give us a call or email us if you would like to serve in any way to expand this vital ministry in the greater Tallahassee area.
In His precious, powerful love,
Barbara Ann Blue
